Februar 2010So we had a visit from Ze Welder this evening for dinner, Kinky Mick dropped Christopher off around 19.30, and we did what we English do best and hit the wine, soon enough the phone rang and Mick had blown a boost hose, 1100 miles in 3 days with no issues, and 2 miles from Heritage HQ the trusty T5 decides now is the time to throw a seven, still no worries, we can sort this, with a cable tie, or some similar bodging, except i don’t have any cable ties, ingenuity took over and i hooked a wire coat hanger out the wardrobe, in an engineering feat that brought Europes finest together we got Mick back on his way.
After a tidy curry, I decided it was time to show the Welder how we watercooled boys do things,
and unveiled the BBS RS that I’ve had ceramic polished and rebuilt,
i think it’s safe to say Christopher was liking the wheels, and whilst i don’t think I’ve done enough to make him jump ship, I feel like I’ve represented our side of the scene!
Anyway, I have to work tomorrow, so it’s probaby time to sign off, and hopefully I can bring you guys some more UK watercooled news before too long, peace!
New Phone for the Counter

Stilecht -wie auch der Rest unseres Ladengeschäftes- werden nun telefonate an unserem Tresen geführt. Dieses spacige Schmuckstück haben wir so umgebaut, dass es auch mit unserer Telefonanlage funktioniert.
Stylish -like the rest of our Shop- the Counter in the front area now runs a genuine early 70-ties phone from the British Telecom. We modified it to match our phone-system.

Nach einer etwas längeren Odysee ist die Barndoor Stoßstange für Jan endlich angekommen. Zinn, Hammer und Lack stehen bereit um das Ding am 1.Mai in Hannover am Auto zu präsentieren.

Mittwoch, 11. November 2009Das Kapitel -Drivestyle aus Hamburg- hat zumindest in Papierform ein vorläufiges Ende genommen… Schade.
Zum Abschluss dieses großartigen Stücks Benzinliteratur verabschieded sich das Motoraver Magazin mit einer limiterten letzten Ausgabe -der Nummer 30- Wir haben einige gebunkert, welche nun zum Preis von 6,90 im Shop zu finden sind.

Montag, 26. Oktober 2009The Time when Bugwelder was located in a Barn. These where our Projects in these Times.
In der Zeit als Bugwelder noch in einer Scheune zu Hause war. Zwei Projekte aus dieser Zeit.
The Beetle had the full equipment -2 Porsche Seats -full cage- 4-Vented-Disc Brakes – 2Liter Type 4 Engine with lots of goodies .
The ´69 notchback was in great condition as a Daily Driver just lowered and styled.
Der Käfer hatte alles was das Herz begehrt: 2 Porsche Sitze – 4-Scheibenbremse innenbelüftet – 2 Liter Typ4 mit vielen kraftbringenden Innereien, Vollkäfig usw.
Der ´69 Typ 3 war der Daily Driver nur einwenig hübschgemacht und in schniekem Zustand.
Since these Days a lot of VW´s were in our hands… …and we are not in a barn anymore…
Seit diesen Tagen waren so einige VW´s in unseren Händen. Mittlerweile sind wir seit einigen Jahren nicht mehr in einer Scheune zu finden… ;o)
